A private network, not a public marketplace

Peer Copy connects independent traders through a private relationship. A Master shares access to a strategy network, while a Follower decides whether to join and which supported destination account will receive the copied activity.

The relationship is managed inside CopierPilot, but account ownership remains separate. The Master manages the network and its access. The Follower manages their own broker account, protection and participation.

Invitations and access stay visible

A private Peer Copy relationship begins with an invitation or another controlled access step. The Follower should be able to review who the Master is, what access is being offered and any relevant subscription terms before connecting a destination account.

Access states should remain clear throughout the relationship. Pending invitations, active Followers, paused participation and ended access are different operational states and should not be treated as the same thing.

Masters and Followers have different responsibilities

The Master manages the private strategy network, invitations, subscriber access and the operational status of that network. Where subscriptions are used, the Master also needs clear visibility into pricing and access status.

The Follower connects and controls their own destination account. The Follower chooses whether to participate, reviews the route and sizing, applies personal protection and can pause or disconnect when the relationship no longer fits.

Peer Copy terminology

Master and Follower describe the roles inside Peer Copy. Standard Trade Copier routes use Source and Destination terminology.

The Follower connects their own destination account

The Follower adds a supported broker account through their own CopierPilot environment and selects it as the destination for the Peer Copy relationship. The Master does not need to receive or manage the Follower’s broker login credentials.

Before activating the relationship, the Follower should confirm the destination account, connection status, sizing approach and protection coverage. The destination can have a different balance, leverage, margin model or provider rules from the account behind the Master strategy.

For the account connection workflow, read How to Connect Trading Accounts.

Keep information boundaries clear

A Master needs enough operational information to manage access and understand whether the private network is functioning. That does not require unrestricted access to a Follower’s broker credentials or complete private account administration.

Followers should understand which account, route and status information is visible within the relationship. Sensitive access details should remain limited to what is required for the supported connection and workflow.

Peer Copy creates a software connection between independent users. It does not transfer ownership of the Follower account or make the Master responsible for the Follower’s personal financial decisions.

Every Follower keeps independent protection

A strategy can produce different risk on different accounts. Balance, leverage, symbol specifications, spreads, slippage and provider limits can all affect the result received by a Follower.

Each Follower can apply protection to their own destination account or Follower route. This can include personal loss, drawdown, exposure and behavioural boundaries, together with supported responses such as alerts, blocking new orders, pausing copying or closing positions.

The Master does not set the Follower’s personal limits. Protection should be reviewed against the Follower’s own account, objectives and provider rules.

Masters and Followers can use different supported connections

A Master and Follower do not necessarily need the same broker or trading platform. Where both account connections and the intended workflow are supported, CopierPilot can connect the private relationship across brokers and platforms.

Platform availability must be checked before onboarding. MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 are currently live, while additional platform connectors are planned. A Coming soon platform should not be treated as available until its connector and relevant Peer Copy workflow are released.

Review current availability on the Supported Platforms section.

Subscriptions, pricing and cancellation need clear terms

Private access can include recurring pricing. Before billing begins, the Follower should be able to understand the price, billing frequency, included access, processing considerations and cancellation route.

Ending a subscription and stopping a copy relationship are connected decisions, but they are not always the same operation. The interface and applicable terms should make clear when access ends, what happens to future copied trades and how open positions are handled.

Peer Copy access does not guarantee trading results. Any pricing relationship should remain separate from claims of guaranteed performance or capital protection.

Pause or disconnect on the Follower’s terms

A Follower should be able to pause the relationship when they need time to review performance, account conditions or protection. Pausing normally concerns future copying; the treatment of existing positions should be shown before confirmation.

Disconnecting ends the copy relationship for that destination. Before completing the action, review whether open positions remain under the Follower’s control and whether any separate subscription or access step also needs to be cancelled.

A Master can also manage network access. Removing access should be communicated clearly so the Follower understands the effect on future copying and any remaining account activity.

Understand the responsibilities and limitations

The Master remains responsible for the strategy and for presenting access honestly. The Follower remains responsible for deciding whether to participate, choosing the destination account, setting personal protection and monitoring the received activity.

Copying can differ between accounts because of latency, spreads, slippage, liquidity, symbol specifications, rejected instructions or disconnected accounts. Peer Copy and Account Protection cannot guarantee identical execution, profits or the prevention of every loss.

Where a broker, prop firm or funded-account provider applies its own rules, the Follower must verify whether copy trading, Expert Advisors and the intended account relationship are permitted. Feature availability does not mean that a provider allows its use.

Build the relationship around clear control.
